Overview of Budget Process, Send to State Committee
ATTENDANCE IS NOT REQUIRED FOR BUDGET SUGGESTIONS, in other
words, any MGP member can suggest items for the 2002 budget,
even if they can't make it to one of these meetings.
Methods for Members to enter items into the budget process
include:
1. personal presentation at one of the Friday meetings
2. via local chapter contact person
(http://www.massgreens.org/locals.html)
3. via MGP Delegate
(http://www.massgreens.org/StateCom/members.html)
4. via regional rep or other Adcom member
(http://www.massgreens.org/AdCom/members.html)
5. by email or other form of message delivery to the Treasurer:
email: books at acircle.com
mail: Treasurer
Massachusetts Green Party
PO Box 1311
Lawrence, MA 01842
phone: (508) 432-2435
The Treasurer is directed by MGP By-Laws to ensure that a
budget is prepared for the next year. This is then reviewed,
modified as needed, and passed by the State Committee. The
process to do this has not yet been fully established although
there are certain practices and procedures that must be adhered
to incumbent with being a political party.
All solicitations are requested but no guarantee is offered or
implied that any particular proposal will make it into the
final document as an 'action item'.
If you can't come to the meeting, that's fine, but please take
the opportunity to suggest your favorite program or plan that
the MGP should undertake in the next fiscal year and beyond.
Proposals will be accepted until January 11, 2002 and beyond,
but, as always, 'early birds get the worm'.
Thanking you in advance for your enthusiastic contribution,
Dan Corrigan, Treasurer MGP
